Chris Toner and Sam Saturday's trial winners

Bobby Reid and Chief, Irish National Champions

Frank Cashen and Clare and Jip Irish National Brace Champions
8am: The final day of the final National for 2011. By the end of today, we should not only know the full Irish team for this year's International, as well as the names of the Irish National and Brace champions, but the full lineup of all the teams from all four countries.
9.00: It is a lovely morning, with a clear sky. The fourth run has just been completed, and some scores are expected soon.
9.45: It's been a flying start, with Bill Seale and Moss, third to the post, putting up 206 - which would have gsained them third place yesterday or the top spot on Thursday. They staretd with a right hand outrun, just one whistle to get to the back of the sheep, a good fetch with just a couple of bends, good lines on the drive, good shed and single, just losing two points at the pen. Next to the post, Michael Hastings with Kilcreen Ben is close behind on 201. They lost most of their points at the start of the nrun with good close work. The weather is holding, and the crowds are starting to arrive to enjoy a good day's trialling.
10.45: Joey Walsh has also posted a good score - 199 with Peg.
11.15: Three excellent runs in succession - William Gallagher posting 203 with Lad, losing very little except on the fetch; then John Maginn taking the lead with Mozz on 212, a left hand outrun, losing just 8 on the drive; and Michael Gallagher almost matchiing his score with Cap on 210, lsoing just 2 on the fetch, 4 on the drive and another 4 on the single.
12.15: And a new leader - Chris Toner with Grahams Sam have taken the lead on 214, losing only 6 points round the course, 2 on the fetch and 4 on the drive. The sheep are working well - as you can tell from the scores - it is a little overcast, and ther is a great crowd. Just before the break, Allistair Lyttle and Spot also had an excellent run, acoring 204. The brace has started, with Denis Birchall going to the post.
1.50: Congratulations to the 2011 Irish National Brace Champion, Frank Cashen with Jip and Clare. Running hird today, they put up the remarkable score of 239. Second was today's first runner, denis Birchall with Flash & Mossie on 230, and he too goes forward to the International Brace competition. Today's other competitor, Sammy Long, was third, just two points behind Denis. The singles have restarted, as has a fine drizzle.
2.50: Sean Corrigan and Tex have moved into sixth place by a narrow margin - equal with William Gallagher and Lad on 203, but two ahead on olf. The team places are beginning to become clearer as today's scores mount.
4.30: Aidan Gallagher has moved into second place on 213. His outrun was to the lft, and he lost only 3 off the lift, 2 off the fetvh and 2 off the drive.
5.15: James McGee and his ever popular Becca has joined the leader board on 210, fifth at the moment. Con McGarry and Tip are on 206.
