Useful Information

The Irish National is in a fairly remote area this year, and to assist you we have some basic information about the everyday essentials:

  • There are two cash Machines on the Island, one in Achill Sound, and one in Keel Grocery Shop.
  • There is one fuel station on the Island based in Cashel, you will pass this en-route to the National Course, they also do cashback.
  • There are two chemists, one in Achill Sound which is open 9am to 5pm, and one in Keel but with very limited opening hours.
  • There is one supermarket in Achill Sound called Supervalue.
  • There is a local grocery store in Keel which has a cash machine and they also provide a cashback facility.
  • The ISDS will have a shop onsite at the Irish National Trial, selling a range of clothing items, books, whistles and DVD's etc.

Anyone staying in Keel Caravan park during the Irish National.

We have been advised you will be unable to exit the camping site in your vehicle prior to 7.30am as the gates will be locked.

If you wish to leave the site earlier, they have reccommended that you will need to park outside the campsite.

We have a camping space available at the National, however there is no electricity or amenities on our site.
