Day 3

7.00: The final day has started early, with light rain and a much more pleasant at 17 degrees - better for handlers, dogs and sheep! - the first handler is at the post. Today sees the final 50 singles runs, followed by the runoffs to decide the Team Reserve nd, finally, the National Champion and Team Captain. The Brace competition reaches its climax at lunchtime with the last three runs.

9.00: The sheepare again working well. There is a good crowd of spectators, although it is raining, but not too heavily. The first scores for today have been posted. 

12.00: The trial is porogressing steadily. The last three Brace runs have started.

2.00: Frank Cashen with Jip and Alex is Irish National Brace Champion. Congratulations!

2.40: John Maginn has posted the highest score of the trial so far with Mozz. They are currently leading on 198.

4.00: More scores posted - today's leaders are becoming apparent. 

4.45: Just 11 dogs to go before the runoffs. 

The runoff has taken place for the reserve. Everyone on tenterhooks!

The reserve runoff was won by David Corrigan with Jim.

Most important of all, the Irish National Champion for 2014 is John Magin with Mozz. Well done!
